While most of us know how to clean the sink, tub and toilet, there are little things we often overlook that can leave our bathrooms dirty. A little extra effort, and a few smart strategies will give you the sparkling bathroom you deserve.

Step 1

Remove/declutter items from the bathroom, to make it easier to clean the surfaces. After removing items, dust all surfaces in the bathroom. We prefer to use easily disposable swiffer dusters. Dust surfaces such as: fronts of cabinets, counter tops, ledges, chrome and glass surfaces, baseboards, etc.

Step 2

After removing and dusting surfaces, sweep the floor to remove all of the hair, trash, and dust.

Step 3

Scrub with soap and water the countertops, sinks, faucets, etc.

Step 4

Clean the mirror with glass cleaner. We prefer to use windex or Sprayway glass cleaner.

Step 5

Rinse and dry the surfaces previously scrubbed. Make sure to clean items (bottles) and underneath items on the countertops.

Step 6

It's now time for the shower. Start by removing all items from the shower. Next, start scrubbing the shower walls, floor, and glass doors with soap and water. Make sure to scrub grout, and use a brush to get into hard-to-reach corners and behind shower heads. Rinse with water when done scrubbing.

Step 7

Dry the shower and tub with a microfiber towel. After the shower walls, floor, and glass doors are dry, return all personal items to the shower.

Step 8

Now it's time for the toilet. Throughly clean and sanitize the toilet and toilet bowl. We prefer to use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner. Thoroughly wipe all surfaces of the toilet down with paper towels or a microfiber towel.

Step 9

Mop the floor, removing all dirt and grime.

Step 10

Ensure all has been cleaned thoroughly. Re-visit any areas that need extra attention.
