Our Skim Coating Process
Step 1: Consultation
One of our staff members will meet with our client to confirm desired outcomes and color selections.
Step 2: Surface Preparation
Mask and cover the project area. Protect all floors, furniture, photos and wall decorations, light plates, etc. Tape off baseboards and surfaces not being skim coated.
Remove all nail holes, fill all holes/patches.
Application of Joint Compound
A thin coat of drywall compound (mud) is applied evenly across the surface, between sandings we apply additional coats of mud to ensure a smooth finish.
